Bedah Novel "Muhammad: Para Pengeja Hujan" persembahan Sastra Inggris UNIMUS dan BALAI BAHASA PROV. JATENG

Dilansir dari laman resmi Program Studi Sastra Inggris (S1) , Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS) Program Studi Sastra Inggris (S1) Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS) bekerjasama dengan Balai Bahasa Provinsi Jawa Tengah akan mengadakan acara Bedah Novel ber judul Muhammad: Para Pengeja Hujan.   Novel ini merupakan seri kedua dari Trilogi Novel Biografi Muhammad yang ditulis oleh Tasaro GK. What is English literature?

A lot of people starting to learn English literature often ask how extensive English literature is. It is not something not useful to ask about it because there have been various answers as well as different opinions about it.  We have to admit that most of common people knowing nothing about literature believe that English literature is literature written and/or published in the UK and US. Meanwhile, many other people consider it as any literary work written in English language. It makes sense but is not a totally accurate perception.  First off, English literature MUST BE WRITTEN in English language. The language is a key to defining English literature. It means it is not an English literary work if not originally written in English language. It also means that any literary work translated into English cannot be seen as an example of English literary works. Who is the Father of English Literature?

Who is the father of English literature?     He is Geoffrey Chaucer ( /ˈ tʃɔːsər / ; c. 1343 – 25 October 1400) considered as many as the father of English literature.  The biggest reason is that he is the first man of letter in England who used modern English as the language of his works.  Speaking of Chaucer, he is known for he was the most important figure in literature in the period of Middle English, ranging between 1066 and 1500, initiated by the Norman Conquest on September 28th, 1066 and ended by the first introduction of printing press in England.  Famous as an English man of letter, including a poet and an author, Chaucer was also a diplomat as well as courtier, philosopher, and bureaucrat.

Australian English Literature?

1. Why is there a term: Australian-English Literature? The term "Australian-English Literature" represents a 'kind' of English literature that is located in Australia and written by Australians. You may question "why is Australia involved when it comes to English literature.  Well, we need to talk about the relation between Aussie and England and United Kingdom in a broader sense to answer such a question.    2.
